Account needs super admin to get email?

When I am adding accounts for users so they can only receive emails, the account needs to be a super admin in order for them to actually receive the email. Why would that be the case? These users do not need to access the frontend but I do not like having to give them super admin. Thanks

There is no need to be super admin.

Make sure that you have permissions to the monitored host you want to receive fault notification.
You can do this in the permissions tab of the user group settings.

At a minimum, you need read access to the target host or host group.
