guest account password

hi all,
we are running 3.44 with ldap against win2008 AD.

in regards to authentication we do not have any issues.

i would like to use the guest account for slide shows for management.

i am able to enable guest via the usergroup,

but i dont know how to "authenticate" ?
will the string "guest" be something generic ? and a hardcoded entity ?
or is "guest" a string , like any other username, that will authenticate against the configured ldap authority ?

does zabbix have something like "anonymous"

anybody any hints to how this guest topic is handled in zabbix ?

internal authentication

note to self:

if you use the internal option for authentication ,
And you enable the guest via the guest group ...

you do get something :

on login page you have your usual stuff and BELOW that the link to
"sign in as guest".
this was too obvious to me .

nevertheless this does not seem to be the case if i use ldap as authentication backend.
how does the guest account work while using ldap ?


maybe someone can shed some light on this.
