    Templates with variables in name

    Hi,

Does anyone know if its possible to have template names with a variable in the title?

The reason for asking is that we have multiple database environments on servers (e.g. Live, Test, Demo, Trng etc) and we currently have templates based on each environment.

The problem is that if someone changes an item in a template, its easily forgotten to do the same in the other templates so they match.

I was thinking that if we can have one template where the environment (live test etc) can be passed into it then that would help.

Currently, we're on 2.4.2 but soon to move to latest 3.x.

    Thanks in advance.

    Mark.

In https://github.com/kloczek/zabbix-te...ervice%20MySQL you can find how to add monitoring data size and indexes size per database using LLD.

Sorry, its been a while since I've had a chance to look into this further. Sorry kloczek, I don't think that's what I'm after (apologies if I've mis-understood the link you pointed me to). Basically, to save having to create multiple templates, I'm wondering if templates can use variables the same as items can.
