Difference between #IFDESCR and #IFNAME

I'm trying to apply a filter on a discovery rule based on interface name to a group of hosts .

I'm getting confused about the accurate meaning of this expressions.

How do you set the SNMP OID of the discovery rule?
Have you specified the same OID for {# IFDESCR} and {# IFNAME}?

If the OIDs are the same, they will be referring to the same value.
When creating a template, I think that it would be better to unify so that either one is used.
