IPCop monitoring

I'm currently running IPCop version 1.4.13 on my home network. I want to monitor my ipcop using Zabbix.

Ho do I compile an agent to run on my IPCop machine. I tried using --enable-static but no binaries were available within the bin/ folder.

Can someone advice me on how to get this done or share their success stories?
