Monitoring bind/DNS

Is there an easy method to monitor bind?

The manual is very very very limited in writing your own checks. It basically gives you the return codes required, but doesn't say much else. WIth a couple custom-check examples I think I could put together something for DNS quite easily.

I would right a script which does a check on a well known server, e.g. yahoo or google. Then echo a 1 or 0 depending if you are getting that IP and put this script in the UserParameter. Test the script with zabbix_get.
