Master/Slave monitoring & questions...

Hi;

Based on the documentation, I should be looking for and setting "NodeID" in the zabbix_server.conf file. However, I only see a "Server" variable which seems to already be set to "1".

Is the documentation out-of-date then?

More importantly... Do all nodes make the same checks? Where in the php frontend is this configured? Only on the master?

Has anyone else got this working? Any gotchas I should know about?

Please check ZABBIX Manual in PDF format. This is most up-to-date information about latest release of ZABBIX.

I'll try to put more details about configuration about distributed monitoring into next release of the manual.

1. All nodes are independent, i.e. they do their own checks.
2. In PHP frontend of master node you may switch to configuration of any slave node. This is visible only if you have more than one node configured.
