    Snmp Oid

    Hi All,

I want to monitor my Cisco devices using Zabbix and via SNMP. However I'm not exactly sure the OID values I should be using to monitor interface octets etc. Is there any tricks / tips you guys use to work out the OIDs to monitor?

    Cheers,
    David

The instruction in manual worked for me.

But my Allied Telesyn doesn't support SNMPv3 (the default in snmpwalk) so I need to create this file
          Code:
          # cat /etc/snmp/snmp.conf
          defVersion 2c
          defCommunity public
Make sure you are using the correct protocol version and eventually try to override the default snmpwalk value using -v 2c (for example). You can find all info with man snmpcmd
