SMS not sending with Zabbix 1.1.6

My zabbix server is a Fedora core 5 machine with the Latest Zabbix (1.1.6) installed from the fedora extras repo. The SMS does not seem to work, even when the ttySx permissions are 100% and I can also manually send an SMS using minicom and the AT commands.

Any ideas why it is not working?

This used to work fine and doesn't look like the person who submitted the rpm removed sms support.

This means that I have to install zabbix from source... I'll give it a try and let you know
