    Help with Windows Agent

    Hello,

I'm having problems with Zabbix Agent (1.1.6) for windows.
Already tested on WinXP and Win2003 server.

I followed all the steps on http://www.zabbix.com/manual/v1.1/pr..._agent_win.php
    And i'm still having problems.

After installing the agent, i go to services.msc and when i try to start it, it takes a long time starting until it fails.

This error ocurrs on all windows that i tried.

I installed agents on lots of linux machines, and didnt had any problem. Now i'm facing problems on any Windows machine.

    Can someone helpme?
ps: sorry for my bad english

    Tkz in advance!

Go to services, and select properties of Zabbix win32 agent.

You have to review "Path to executable" and you have to view something like this:

        "C:\zabbix\ZabbixW32.exe" --config "C:\zabbix_agentd.conf"

You must have zabbixw32.exe and conf file in correct path.

i had the same problem. Default the logfile goes to c:\tmp. If that dir doesn't exist the agent doesn't start.

creating the dir, or setting another one in the config, does the trick.

try to place zabbixw32.exe and zabbix_agentd.conf in the root c:\
            make c:\tmp directory
after installing zabbix service dont try to start service - just reboot system.

tkz alot and sorry for taking sooooo long to answer. I'v been very busy on the last few days.

I think that this question should be on a FAQ or something else since it doesnt gives any error messages. :P
