    SLA help

    Hello,

We are using zabbix 1.1.6 with 20 servers, maps/triggers/mails are working great and we are trying to get the SLA to work.

I have the same problem as in 2/3 (old) forum threads, and just like a few other people my SLA's are always at 100%. I have followed the threads to correctly create the SLA's.

Is there something to do on the server except defining triggers in SLA's in the IT services ?

The interesting thing is that when in the SLA section a trigger can be "down", the SLA sees it, but stays up at 100% even after a few forced ups and downs of a test server !

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Sebastian

I've double checked my SLA config with your post (I just had to move the acceptable from 80% to 60%) and I'm still getting 100%...

And we've had quite a few tiggered events these last days...

If I go through the availability reports the trigger are not at 100%...

      I'm lost !

        SLA help!

        Hi there!

look, when I was trying this SLA think i was for a week at 100% and I was trying every combination of SLA option so the one that I post here it is working fine to my server but the key feature was time!!!

if you see at the IT services when you click on a 100% bar you will find two dates from and till. let the sla to run until the "till" date and check for any result, that was how it worked for me at least.

And some other question: what trigers are you puting on SLA ?
I have tryed SLA only with ping , and i'm going now to test it with bandwidth usage on a link.

also check on it services when you click on the green bar to change the status of SLA from "week" to "day".

And another one question when you link the services with the parent service then on the monitoring it servises tab you must see only the parent service to change the percentage value the linked service will be all the time 100% but the parent servise will tell you the truth about his child.

        Steven.
