long Messages from Agent

Hi,

When we are sending the long message from the Agent but it is taking only 256 characters. But we need long messages(>256 characters) from agent.

We are using Zabbix 1.1.7 version.
Agent boxes are windows XP.

Please guide me how to send long messages from the agent.

Are you sure the agent is cutting off the messages? The email alerts for my event logs only send 250 characters but if you look in the databsse and/or latest data tab it is sending the full text.

Is this a problem with event logs or are you defining a custom UserParameter in the clients config file?

Agent is not cutting the message. Agent is sending what ever message we are giving. That full text is showing under Latest data & Action tabs. But it is not sending full text on the mail.

very easy fix, im surprised a dev hasn't mentioned it.

change the field type of "lastvalue" & "prevvalue" in zabbix.items from varchar(255) to Text.
