Network Hierarchy / Root Cause Analysis

Hi,

I have a very distributed network, with lots of servers at numerous datacentres all connected through VPN's and a complex switched network.

My question is: can Zabbix understand network hierarchy, ie. if a VPN goes down I want Zabbix to say "VPN 001 is down" instead of sending an alert for every single server and monitored service at the remote site.

This is a very useful feature of Nagios and the commercial programs.
