Monitoring web server responses

Hello All!

I was needing to monitor the response of several apache virtual hosts, like the HTTP 4xx 5xx 2xx 3xx errors.
Not only the availability of apache webserver, but the availability of the virtual host.
Is this possible?

how about also the rough number of users hitting the webserver or perhaps on a vhost basis.
