embarrassing problem with zabbix

I have checked the system time, bios time all times and they are correct but In zabbix it says next event will be on the 01/01/1970.....which means it will never get there

where is it picking this up from?

I am running suse9.2 pro zabbix 1.1alpha7 on x86_64 kernel

The date 01/01/1970 means that an item's value has to be retrieved ASAP. Actually any date&time in past means the same.

Thanks for that...but It is set to update in 30 secs When I look at the queue it says 3 items to be update in Greater than 5 minutes....and it does'nt seem to update.

I have checked acess to the device I am monitoring and everything seems ok.

This is the first time I am trying v1.1alpha*
