Upgraded to 1.4: Problems with system.cpu.util[,user,]

I am having a problem retrieving the system.cpu.util, I am using the following command.

    # zabbix_agentd -t system.cpu.util[,user,]

    This returns

    system.cpu.util[,user,] [m|Collector is not started!]

    Other checks work fine,

    # zabbix_agentd -t system.cpu.load[,avg1]

    returns

    system.cpu.load[,avg1] [d|2.090000]

I see no problem here. When you start ZABBIX agent with no testing flags, the CPU utilization will be supported.

Sorry for the lack of clarification.

When I use the system.cpu.util[,user,] key that I had previously been using in Zabbix 1.1.8 the server reports it as "not supported". The zabbix agents running on the servers in question are all being started with the init.d scripts provided.

I use the -t option of the agent for testing purposes only. When using the -t with that particular key is [m|Collector is not started!] the proper response?

Fix for system.cpu.util when upgrading to Zabbix 1.4.x

Looks like the value returned in 1.1.x is 64-bit numeric. Zabbix 1.4.x uses a floating point number. I had the same problem when I upgraded and changing the stored value type to a float instead of a 64-bit int fixed it.

Because Collector, one of agent processes, is not started when doing -t and thus it cannot provide any information. When agent is started in a normal way, Collector will run, it will calculate some of values (like network/cpu stats) and sends them back to ZABBIX server.
