How to use SqlYog to view Zabbix database

I have my Zabbix database running on Solaris 9 machine. I have the freeware tool called SQLYog that can be used to connect to database. But each time i try to connect it says my windows machine cannot connect to the zabbix database on solaris box.

did anyone try viewing the zabbix database thru any thrid party tools? please help me with some feedback...

Hi,

You have to make sure that mysql server is accessible from network. Latest versions tend to run on localhost interface, so you can connect only from local machine. More details on mysql configuration can be found on www.mysql.com
