    monitoring windows server 2003, how?

    Hi!

    I'm confused, which is next step for monitoring a machine with windows server 2003?, i have Zabbix v1.4 in Debian etch,

    You should install the agent on the windows 2003 server and then add the server as a host in zabbix. If you choose the Windows template when adding the host you will get most of the regular monitoring items. This is all covered in the manual. If you have any problems with specific steps feel free to post.

      i couldn't install the agent

      I couldn't install the agent on windows 2003 , can you explain me step by step the agent installation, if you write the commands it's better for me, i'm linux begginer, please.

        The agent install happens on the windows 2003 server not in linux.

        go here to get the windows agent installer


        1. Install the agent on the windows 2003 server (you will need the ip address of the zabbix server)

        2. Connect to the zabbix server frontend (web site) from any web browser

        3. follow the steps in section 6.4 of the manual (beginning on page 123) to add the window 2003 server as a new host (I suggest you start with the windows template)
