Database watchdog works correctly only for MySQL in 1.4.

Check PostgreSQL log files. I'm pretty sure the PostgreSQL was stopped or restarted at some point.

I find "connection limit exceeded for non-superusers" in postgresql log.
          postgresql accept 40 connections.
How many connections to database need for zabbix?

Also, Alexei, could you please answer me to data from snmp *Descr in graphing legend. Is it planned and when, if planned?

I bet most of the connections comes from Apache and PHP. ZABBIX does not require more than one database connection per each ZABBIX server process.
