    i think so.

i had the same problem with zabbix agent 1.4. i was trying to monitor processes using service_state. following zabbix documentation the parametr should be real service name but it is not. it works with proces display name for me. it is opposite to the docs exacly.

the problem appears when you have english language windowses and your local language (it is polish in my case). you will have to prepare separate templates for english and separate for locals.

the proces display name you will find in windows service properities

ie. for snmp service item key should have:
          service_state[Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)]

service_state[] is supposed to work with both display name and EXE name.

              configuration item for service state

              type: service agent
              key: service_state[tina_daemon.exe]
              type of information: numeric

agent version of 1.1 ok but bad result version 1.4

is there any chance to change display name to service name?
service name is unique and short, also it is language (location) independent. EXE name is not unique in some cases.

upgrade zabbix server and agent --> 1.4.1

pb service state Dhcp --> result 1 (ok)

but tina_daemon.exe --> no such service if windows service state or
                        255 if service state

                        why?

                        it's good.

service is tina or not tina_daemon.exe.
