    All is status unknown

    Hello,

My question is very simple : when I declare a host, an item or a trigger, there are all always at the status unknown.
I have read all discussions about it, but no solution.

    Please, help me!!

    Thanks
    Diegocito.

Actually, I have the impression that all the problems of the forum are in my installation : I have no graph (no data)
I have no value in "last value"
The field "last change" is at "Never"
Nevertheless, when I 'am in the configuration field : my host is on the status : "monitored".

    Thanks

The server yes, but not the agent, because I have to monitorate by snmp : so no need agents, but for the moment, I tested a simple check : icmpping, with the trigger : "my_host:icmpping.max(300)<1" (the syntax is correct, no??).
I will notice you that I have also the "snmpd" running. (even if I know it's not needed for icmpping...).

        Thanks for the answer.

I do the same, and as predatorz, my host status became available, and tcp work (graph, last value...).
However, icmpping and icmppingsec don't work (status unknown).
But I said tcp works, but in fact, the value is always 0 => TCP down.
For information, I tried to monitor a Cisco switch.

          Thanks,

            Solved

In fact, my boss had not changed the IP which could connected to the switch.
That's why I can't connect and collect informations.

Nevertheless, I have another problem because snmp works but not simple checks as "icmpping"

            A+

              Precisions

For information, I have installed fping, and when I try to ping my switch via command line, it works.

              I nothing understands there.
