some database backup queries plz help..

Hi

I need to do a database backup from 1 zabbix server to another new zabbix server. the old zabbix server's database is a old version while the new zabbix is a recent version. I m using mysql database. wanna ask how to do this backup??on the old zabbix i used mysqldump to get the data out. so do i need to do anything before i dump the data into the new zabbix server? Thanks a lot!

Just load the old data into the new server and run the upgrade scripts for the new version.

hi guys...right now i am importing data into database..the data is worth 3.9Gb or disk space...and its beenimporting since 3 days ago... it is a little too long to import data of this size?? i used this command

$mysql -uroot -p testzabbix < test_zabbix.sql


is it correct??Is the import time too long or what?
