The documentation discusses extending the zabbix agent and the process to do this seams to be relatively easy so my question is; Can Zabbix display the result of running a shell script? For example if I create a script and this returns the value “156853” will Zabbix display this value? All the current screenshots I have seen always display OK.
I am assuming that I need to set the type so that I can set events against the value? I am trying to ascertain if we can use this product.
