from classic install to gentoo install

    hi,
i'm in the tests of zabbix since a week now on gentoo,
but zabbix is now available on portage, and i'd like to
use my favorite gentoo command : emerge (equivalent of apt-get)
but i already configured a few hosts and items, and i don't want to lose it

is there a special way to install zabbix with portage, and keep the
    previous config?
can i simply do an "emerge zabbix-server"?
