popup alerts

zabbix 1.4.1 is GREAT and i currently using both email / sms alerts. i wish to go even further with zabbix and try popup alerts (eg, when someone msn you)

i know there are 2 methods: Winpopup and Jabber

Q) which of the above methods can i implement IF my zabbix_server is NOT in my local network.

Q) is the mentioned method 'fully' supported in zabbix 1.4.1 ?

You may try both methods. Note that Winpopup will require an external script, while Jabber is supported out-of-the-box.

but does winpopup support remote LAN (my zabbix_server is on a different LAN from my office PCs and of coz having different IP) ?

Of the 2 methods, which are easier to implement ?

Can anyone name mi some "key differences" bwt the 2 methods ?
