Guide to adding an IT Service?

I understand what IT Services are for what I cant figure out is how to damn well add one!

I have a simple trigger setup that goes off if a website takes 10 seconds or more to respond, it is named "Website Slow". If I wanted to set that as an IT Service with an SLA of 99% uptime based on this trigger, what do I do?

I have added it in the way it seems to want but apparently it has 100% uptime all the time. When the trigger went off multiple times over the last week.

Anyone any insight into this? My manager is very keen to see this feature working.

      I have the same problem

I have exactly the same problem: My trigger fires if a web responds in more than 3 seconds. I can see on my graphs, screens and maps how trigger fires and the web response time is worse than 3 seconds for a while several times a day. It has been happening for the last 2 months, but the SLA is always 100%.

I have tested the IT Services functionality with other triggers (i.e. apache is running on a Unix machine, cpu is more than a value, etc.)

      Always the SLA is 100%.

By the way. Every time I change it, database would be huguely accessed and recalculated the SLA. But the server silently keeps on duty with no noticeable peaks of database activity.

My feeling is that or we do not know how it works or simply it does nothing.

Same problem here! I've got a IT service configured to monitor my mailserver, but it has an SLA of 100% while the graphs and trigger values show otherwise
