The admins at my work install and maintain Zabbix. (I'm a Sql Server DBA.) They have agreed to let us use their Zabbix system for monitoring various Sql Servers and NetApp filers. I do have to do apparently a client install on our Sql Servers that is supposed to be very simple.
My goals are basically to pull into Zabbix various Perf Mon objects on the Windows/Sql Server side and various sysstat/perfstat counters on the Netapp side.
But I need "Zabbix 101" to show me how to do all this. If anyone can give me some links to show me the basics, I would sure appreciate it. I don't mind reading, but I haven't had much luck with searching through the site.
For example, I don't find much when I do a search on perf mon and netapp for example. I also think that I need to know how to handle a .conf file but can't find much good info on that.
Thx...
