need to build rpms for rhel based distro

Hi
I need some help..
I have nerver build rpms before , and need to build and rpm for endian firewall , which is based on rhel, centos , fc 3 ... type distro .. How do i go about this I believe I need a .spec file etc .. how do i create this for zabbix-1.4.2, at the moment only the agent and it's required binaries ...

I used the spec from http://zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3920 as base for our Centos4 / Centos5 servers. Made a few custom modifications (special paths, altered config file and stuff)

I suggest you read a rpm howto like this one to set up your build environment:

when your build environment, the sources and your spec file are set up correctly, it's basically just:
rpmbuild -ba /path/to/your/specfile to generate the rpm itself

You can use prebuilt packages from Fedora EPEL

i permit to open again this topic, because i want to monitoring Endian firewall 2.4 with zabbix 1.8.4, but don't find how to install agent on endian firewall.

I'm also looking for a rpm zabbix agent.

At the moment I installa zabbix agent following this guide: http://www.efwsupport.com/index.php?topic=2657.0 but start on boot seems to fail.
