host groups question

Gents...

In a distributed environment... if you:

1.) Create a group on Central node
2.) Try to create the same group on slave... you get this error:


Group 'WSE' already exists


What am I missing ?

Maybe I am not understanding zabbix well enough... maybe i need to change my logic...

trying to deplaoy zabbix in a huge environment,.... many networks... many host groups... many different departments for monitoring their own host groups

so you can have a group of people, who have servers in many different networks... and they should all have one group of hosts.... makes sense?

You are not missing anything. This should be fixed!

ok, well, it works when you login into the target host and create the group there...

so will this be working in the next version

Yes, it works, but I am sure this is not what you want to do frequently
