Removing and re-adding templates to hosts

Due to the annoying bug of the groups being removed in the latest data page when you add multiple templates to a host, we constantly have to remove Templates from a host and re-add them in order to get things back to normal.

I know that many others on the forum also do this.

Does removing a host from a template, then clicking Save, then re-adding them to the template result in any data loss from the DB ? Does any historical data get purged when we do this ?

Good question Olly. I am not sure if it does or not, but if you wanted to test you could just query the DB directly after doing this with a test host, like maybe your desktop or something. I am not sure where in the schema the data is stored, but I am sure you can figure that out pretty easy with some simple SQL.

This is the problem where, if you add an additional template to a host, it looses the application groupings in the Latest Data page. All the items are there, but they are just listed in one long list rather than in collapsable lists.

In order to resolve it you have to remove all the templates from a host, save it, then add the templates again.
