zabbix snmp still a problem

I still can't get the snmp to work on zabbix. I have used the full OIDs, changed snmp versions, the host is reachable on my zabbix server, community names are all ok, no firewalls to traverse, I can snmpwalk or snmpget OID values from my zabbix server via snmp commands... but on zabbix itself I can't seem to produce a single graph. Zabbix_suckerd.log produces the following messages:

Getting value of [] from host [SC3020] failed..
The value is not stored in database.
Error [1].

These messages repeat for every parameter monitored.

Help... anybody???

verify that the net snmp is correctly installed
run the zabbix_suckerd on debug mode
