Import / Export of the hosts list

Hello everyone,

I'm currently checking one functionnality I would like to use further.
Instead of entering each hosts I would like to monitor, I've prepared a script that auto-generates a import like file, filled with all datas relative to each hosts.
And, with the IMPORT function, it works very well.

The only pb I got it to make a auto-link to a template with each host imported.
Actually, I'm obliged to do it manually, and it's a heavy process...

Does somebody know how to declare the template dedicated to a hosts within the import process ?

Would it be possible to get one special page where you can select multiple hosts (by 10 or 20, for example), and select One template and clic SAVE ?

Then, this templates would applies to the selected hosts

indeed, when exporting a host that is linked against a template, not the linkage, but items, triggers etc themselves are exported.

this pretty much limits this functionality for mass changes.

if there is no way to preserve this, it would make for a very desirable improvement

of course, there could be some caveats, like whether template linkage should be exported as an id or as a name, and what to do if upon import the linked template is missing.
