Alert when not getting data?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to set up a trigger to check whether it's been too long since the last value sent. I'd like to know when a zabbix agent stops sending data. This would mainly be used for active check clients. I've tried the "Host status" native counter in zabbix but it's unpredictable. Some machines say it's not supported and while others it is but doesn't change. The client is 1.4.2 and these are all windows 2003 machines. Any direction or help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the quick response. It's helped alot. www.ofsometown.com:vm.memory.size[free].nodata(600) works great. Alot of additional functions in the manual ;-)
