    Systems never show as coming back available

    I am setting up Zabbix monitoring here and had 4 systems that were reporting ONLINE back to the Zabbix server. Now they had to be shutdown to apply patches. When they came back online Zabbix never updated their status, 2 remained UNKNOWN and 2 unreachable.

    The Zabbix agent is running and net-snmp is responding to queries.

    All 4 machines under Configuration -> Hosts return "Timeout while connecting to [xxxx:161]"

    I don't see any error conditions that I can clear to get Zabbix to realize that the machines are online again, so I'm not sure how to deal with this.

      Are you not getting updated values under "Latest Values" for these machines? I have noticed that the messages like "Timeout while connecting to [xxxx:161]" never get cleared from the hosts screen (which I think should be logged as a bug because its annoying).

          No I wasn't getting anything from those machines.

          The system was bounced (for other reasons) and everything seems to be working as it should, so I don't know what was going on there but it seems to have worked itself out.
