Zabbix client problems

Hi all,

I seem to be having problems with my zabbix client (1.4.2) on RHEL4. It seems to run fine for the longest time and all of a sudden, I get an alert that that particular server is unreachable (when I know it is not nor has the connection been fluctuating). Anyone else have any problems similar to this? As soon as I restart the zabbix_agentd service, it comes right back up again.

Just to provide a little more detail on the matter: I ran a debug on one of my systems that just stops:

This also shows that the process is, in fact, running:
