Ok, so I've read the forums, I followed the wiki but can I get eventlog[system] or any eventlog to show up in zabbix? Nah.

All I get is '-' and '-' under last and change.

What do I need to do to get this working?

Do I need to have a process of some sort running? I have zabbix_server running, I also have zabbix_agentd running, both on the server.

I also have zabbix_agentd.exe running on the server with a default conf file, no changes made.

My log file shows up nothing of use.

Please someone shed some light.

Nevermind...

The hostname in zabbix_agentd.conf on the server I was monitoring was different to the hostname I had configured in Zabbix.

Hope this helps someone although it is pretty obvious, but once again I miss the important bits. I always look at the problem with far to much detail rather then RTFCC.
