    Configuring Nodes

    Hi all,

I've a similar problem to a previous post by painintheass - couple of problems with zabbix. I also went the Node route and have the exact same problem.

If I create a graph from the Master side it's not populated at the child side and graphs created on the child side. eventhough the Axis are shown, the data is populated to the graphs on the Master. The graphs on the chils side work perfectly but data from the child nodes are not visible in the graphs on the Master's side.

Another problem is that one of the Child Node went down and According to the Master Node it was still available which is inaccurate because the machine was off.

I have followed the documentation to the "t" but I'm unable to resolve this issue and it is quite critical because this has to be rolled out to another 100 sites and I can't put it live unless I've sorted this thing.

Lastely e-mails are not being sent through Sendmail and the problem is not with SM becuase I sat here and monitored all smtp traffic to the mail server and there were no smtp traffic from the Zabbix server, there is no firewall blocking traffic, user has been set up correctly in send mail and Actions in Zabbix with the Notifications are set up within Zabbix like in the Docs.

    Please assist

    Child Node Graphs

Sorry, as I wrote the post something happened and the suddenly the graphs appeared on the Master Node and it works, I do not know how this happened but I'm glad. Most probably slow Internet traffic? I don't receive MySQL errors anymore so I don't know how this fixed itself but I'm Glad. Maybe, I disconnected the Child node from any external Links then configured the Graphs and I forgot to give it access to the net and when it eventually got on the Net again it worked, is it a far shot to say that you'd want to stop the child node then configure what ever and then start it up again?

That is one problem solved but the mail is still not working and the issue where the Child Node went off and the Master Node never "saw" it still makes me a bit edgy.
