Trying to add trigger

Hello,

I'm newbee using zabbix, and I tried to add a new trigger.
I first added a new item :
http_perf,7001 to verify if a distant server is working on port 7001.
It works and show graphic about it.
I then wanted to add a trigger (then an action) to warn me when it does not work.
But when I go to monitoring->triggers->add new trigger, I don't find my Item in the list of triggers dependancy.
So I don't understand how to do it !

Can you help and explain me please ?

First of all, you need to go to configure --> triger and not to monitoring.

Second, you need to choose group in drop down menu at the top when you trying to find your item.
