Animated Icons on Network Map?

Animated Images in Zabbix

I too played around with this a bit... never got it to work.. best I could do was take a copy of the image I wanted to show as having a problem, save it (and it does save as a png file form Zabbix). I them edited the image, selecting the entire image, and did a bucket fill of bright red, but altered it from NORMAL to BURN and played around with the opacity of the fill, and got an acceptable looking ICON... but I agree, an animated gif would be nice.

Please forgive me for digging out this post from it's grave but I have been trying to find out if this feature is possible now since it's past a decade. I really wished that Zabbix team come up with a feasible workaround of the image in image issue. Has anybody found some feasible alternative for getting the gif to work in map? say using some plugins?

According to the documentation https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...ation/maps/map Zabbix supports changing visual effects of the triggered problem. But no animation

Thanks for responding kernbug. I am aware of the visual effects change feature but was trying to make gif work with map. It would have been a nice feature to view blinking icon of problematic hosts on maps which is displayed on dashboard monitor.
