proc.num returns zero

I've got zabbix monitoring a few processes, and on one client proc.num sometimes returns 0 even when the process is running. I can do a ps and see it, and the process has been running for a few weeks, so it's not bouncing. Does anyone have any reason or a fix?

I figured I'd add some details. I'm running AIX 5.3, Zabbix 1.4.4 for both client and server. The server is running fedora 7. Any ideas?

I see this from time to time on our AIX 5.3 systems too. Have not figured out why yet. The last spat of this was on one of our DB systems which was heavly loaded at the time.

I'm a little relieved that its not just me, but I'd love to know why. Anyone have an idea on testing this further? I can't seem to pinpoint any particular reason for the problem, so reproducing is rather difficult.
