GNU Make

I am newbie in Linux
I have Mandriva2008 and about GNU Make how can i install this in my ditro
actually my problem is running ./configure everything is ok
but the next step is to make Install this command is always shows me "Inavlid command"


Please anyone can help me
I really really want to use this zabbix

Invalid command, hmm... Did you run "make install"?
