    Monitor back up exec with snmp

    Hi all,

    is there information that I can use to set up Zabbix to monitor my backups.

    I know backup-exec can send snmp information but i'm not sure what to do.

    If Backup-exec can run as a SNMP client, then you can just query it from the Zabbix server. That is quite easy and simple to administer.

      afaik backup-exec only can send snmp traps.

        Can I configure my Zabbix to receive SNMP traps?

          Have you worked with SNMP data before? If not, you may be better served just monitoring the Event Logs or BE log files. There are some documents about receiving and processing SNMP traps in Zabbix, but it is a bit confusing and difficult to get working (IMHO).
