manually managing hosts that were auto discovered

    Hi.

i searched through the forums and skimmed through the manual on auto-discovery and I didn't see an explanation or hint on how to deal with this.

    I'm running zabbix 1.4.4

Basically we used auto-discovery to add a few hosts to our zabbix install because we wanted to try out the feature. It worked, yay, very kewl, but now how to we do anything with those hosts aside from look at what the auto-discovery configured? The hosts are not in my Configuration->Hosts page, heck, the Group isnt even there. I tried manually adjusting the itemid in the url and all I get is a permission denied error. I can't edit the host, remove it (manually, I'm assuming if I setup a auto-remove rule like in the manual and prevent them from talking for 24 hrs it would), or anything but look at the Monitoring views of those hosts.

I'm sure I'm just missing something blatantly obvious, but I don't know what it is.

    thanks

okay.. so it seems to be because we aren't logged into the actual admin user, even though we've tried giving our users the exact same Super Admin and group permissions.

EDIT: Apparantly we hadnt matched the permissions exactly, having Zabbix Administartors + all the other groups was breaking the permissions. Dropped it to just Zabbix Administrators.

Was having all the groups in there kinda stupid? yes
Should it have broken? *shrug* i don't think so, but thats me
