    Stale hosts/items (freshness checking)

    I make extensive use of active agents - relying on agents to send data back to Zabbix. I have used Nagios in the past and one nice feature was the ability to have a script run if no data had been received for a set period - known as freshness checking.

    So, for example, I had it set to warn if a server hadn't reported back in 10 minutes, and if a workstation/laptop hadn't reported back in 2 weeks.

    Is there a way to achieve this same behaviour in Zabbix?

    I too want to know of such a feature.

    Is it there?

        Fantastic, thank you. Classic case of RTFM.

        I added the following Item:
        TemplateName:Host uptime (in sec)

        and this trigger:
        {TemplateName:system.uptime. nodata( 900 ) }

        The agents report back every 5 minutes so the above triggers if nothing is received after 15 minutes. Works beautifully.
