    ZABBIX server running ---> NO

    Hi, I installed ZABBIX; for this apache2, php5, mysql5 were installed manually; and for zabbix I used "apt-get install zabbix-agent zabbix-server-mysql zabbix-frontend-php"; I can access "localhost/zabbix" but in this show me "ZABBIX server is running NO".

    If I write in console
    practicas@practicas-desktop:~$ ps -ef| grep zabbix

    I dont know how to run the server, or may be the server is running, how can i check this!! I'm new in all this, I'm using ubuntu gusty.

      I reinstalled all; ubuntu; apache, php, zabbix; when I install zabbix I get this:

      But when I go to localhost/zabbix and I configure the installation steps I get in "Reports - Status of Zabbix" Zabbix server running - NO.

      What could be the problem?? Im using the Server where zabbix is installed!!

          I resolved the problem!!! I tell you how, may be you are in the same situation...

          When I check the log of the server "/var/log/zabbix-server/zabbix_server.log" I found out that the server won't started; because a problem with the DB; so I edit the config file of the server: "/etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf" and edit the correct information to access to the DB; then I started again the server...

          /usr/sbin/zabbix_server start

          and wala!!! the server is now runing!!
