Copy items or link to template?

    Hi,

What is better for performance? Let's say we have a host A linked with a template X. Beside that, we have 50 host more of the same kind, should I link those hosts to template X or copy items from A to the rest of hosts?

    Thanks in advance!

Ultimately you will end up with the same items monitored, but from a management point of view using a template makes much more sense. If you need to change one item, or add another one, you only need to do that against the template instead of doing it for each and every host.

Hmmmmm.... I'm not sure that use template in all cases be easier. Create template is useful for not add by hand item to a new host, but then is faster copying items from one host to many hosts than linking by hand one by one each host with the template. Because of this I ask if using template since "second" host has better performance
