Patch 2: Templates having common Application(s)
Symptom: can't assign templates having common application(s) to a node
Cause: too strict checking
Resolution: section commented out in validate_templates() in frontends/php/include/hosts.inc.php
Works with: 1.4.4, 1.4.6
Patches: cleanly with 1.4.4, 1.4.6

This patch is not enougth to resolve this problem. If you assign two templates with common application to some host and later remove one template from the host, assignment for common application will be removed completely even for the left template. I resolved this problem some time ago by additionally commenting code for application associations removal. This, of course, lead to hang DB records, but won't puzzle users.

If you're interested, I'll look for the patch.
