Zabbix send just the "OK" message

    Hello,

I have a Zabbix 1.8.9 appliance configured and working pretty well.

But now I started to have some issues with some new triggers (A simple checkicmp ping ).
It works, it shows notifications when I unplug the device, but it doesn't send the alert message.
Than I conect the device again, and now I have my message.

    All my other triggers works.

I tried everything that I thought, like removing and creating again the trigger
    like recreating the entire host
and also tried to create the trigger under the zabbix server

but the issue is always the same

    Does anyone have a clue?

    thanks

    Bruno.

Try to add some screen caps of your action configuration and trigger in order to see if i can help you.

Well.. try to select on actions "Enable escalations" and "recovery message". Also in your conditions add a "Trigger value = Problem". If your trigger works the problem must be on your actions. Select that options i told you and then unplug the device in order to see if it works.

            Hi

            Thanks for your reply.

I did as you adviced, but the issue remains.

Btw, my actions works with the other triggers, so I don't think it is an action problem

I've also figured out that the problem is related to icmp ping, as I tested other ip devices and the symptoms are the same.

            Any more ideas?

              Solved!

              Hi folks,

I deleted the item from Zabbix server host.

Than I re-created a dedicated host, usign the tamplate standalone.

I did also create the icmpping trigger, and disable the others from the template.

Now it works, it sends the messeges with PROBLEM and OK.

I think that is something related to the others itens, since now I'm using all itens from the standalone template, different from before when I was using just the icmpping item.

Thanks for your help and attention

              o/
