Your time to upgrade db (1.4 -> 1.6)?

After reading this in the 1.6 docs:

"Note: Database upgrade may take quite significant time, several hours or more.
It is recommended to test the upgrade procedure in a non-production
    environment."

I ran the upgrade sql script...

    # cat zabbix-1.6.1/upgrades/dbpatches/1.6/mysql/patch.sql | mysql zabbix

...and considering that my innodb database is 153Gb I'd figured that it would be a while before the process finished. Instead, the prompt returned without errors in less than 10 minutes! Is this right?!

This is not on our production hardware so I don't have any agents reporting in to this server. Just testing.

How long did it take for your database upgrade?

    Tech specs:
    • upgraded from 1.4-4 -> 1.6.1
    • compiled from source.
    • database: 10 innodb files, 153Gb
    • CPUs: dual-quad core, 2.66GHz
    • memory: 16Gb
    • One harddrive 400GB sata

For me, it took less 7sec for 6GB data on Quadcore 1.86GHz with 2GB RAM

It took less than a couple of minutes for a ~30GB database here, so I think it's a correct value

It took me a few seconds to migrate a 16GB database.

Your timing is absolutely reasonable. The upgrade procedure does not touch huge historical tables, that's why it so fast.
