Zabbix Internal Check

Hi

I was trying to create a zabbix ITEM which could store the value calculated on other ITEMs value.

For e.g. There are ITEM A and ITEM B, there last value returned is 45 and 35 respectively. now I create ITEM C which stores difference between these two ITEM i.e. ITEM A - ITEM B = ITEM C, for this example, value stored in ITEM C would be 10 (45-35=10).

Please suggest what key to be used to create such ITEM.

Unfortunately it's not possible to do this in Zabbix right now.

I have recently posted a feature request for that scenary, let's hope it gets implemented in the next version

There have been a few posts for this. The only way to accomplish this right now is through an external script. I think aggregation might be a search term which might help you get closer to the answer.
